July 2020 update
Hey there!
Just released another update for Unobelisk, mostly with bug fixes, but also some changes in a specific puzzle.
Changes:
- Before this update, the game over animation if you died on the barrel lift in the Garden's trunk was really weird and glitchy. Now, it's just the common game over animation, i guess? It's something that i didn't noticed until recently because it's pretty hard to die in that part haha
- Some minor shadow improvements. Sort of hard to perceive tbh. There's still a lot to do with the shadows in this game, which i pretend to in future updates.
- In the Hall of the colors (Tower of Light), the tree drawings on the walls had some strange collision problems, so i just removed them. Now, it's okay, i hope.
- Probably the biggest one. The password demanded by the Angry Face in the Path of the Faces (Gardens) was changed. It was 2 words before this update, which was kinda counter intuitive because the "space" key was simply a blank key in the password input. Now it's just one word, with the related dialogues updated in the same way. Thanks to Ro Carinam for the feedback on the password!
For future updates, i'm investigating right now about some big framerate drop that happens sometimes when the player get into the Hall of the colors, in the Tower of Light. That room was running at like 2fps for me at some point, while it runs okay most of the time. My pc stuff is pretty low end tbh so maybe it's just here. Even so, i want to solve this asap since i want Unobelisk playable for people with cheaper pcs as well.
Well, that's it. Please send feedback if there's anything wrong with the game.
- Douglas de Amorim, the dude that made Unobelisk.
